State’s Attorney Candidate Forum, Aug. 2nd at Vermont Law School

Six of ten candidates from contested counties have agreed to attend voter education event ahead of Aug. 14 primaries

SOUTH ROYALTON— A candidate forum for Vermont state’s attorney candidates will be held tomorrow, August 2nd at 6:30 p.m. in South Royalton. The ACLU of Vermont and the Vermont Law School Center for Justice Reform are co-sponsoring the event, the first of its kind in Vermont.

All ten candidates running in a contested race were invited to the forum. Of those, six have agreed to appear at the event: Arnie Gottlieb (Bennington), Garrett Cornelius (Orleans), Paul Finnerty (Lamoille), Todd Shove (Lamoille), Betsy Anderson (Lamoille) and Amy Davis (Essex).  

What: Vermont State’s Attorney Candidate Forum

Where: The Chase Center, Vermont Law School, South Royalton, Vermont

When: Thursday, August 2nd from 6:15-8:30 p.m. (event starts promptly at 6:30 p.m.)

Why: To provide Vermont voters with information about the candidates and their views in advance of this year’s elections

This event is open to the public and light refreshments will be available. 

Vermont’s primary election is scheduled for August 14th, 2018 and the general election is November 6th, 2018. The ACLU and the VLS Center for Justice Reform are encouraging all Vermonters to vote.
