We are bringing a queer and trans craft project to communities across the state through a series of Freedom To Be events. We are partnering with Rutland County Pride to create a space where queer folks can explore what autonomy and freedom mean to them through crafting & creating art, which will become a part of a national art installation the ACLU is organizing in Washington, D.C.
This collaborative project, made up of a series of quilt-like panels, acts as a vessel to uplift the voices of queer and trans Vermonters. These events are an opportunity for folks to gather in community while reclaiming the narrative of their experiences. It is critical to amplify the voices of our queer and trans family and friends as anti-trans legislation continues to increase across the country.
We invite queer and trans Vermonters and their allies to participate in this collaborative project. Please RSVP, and invite a friend to join you!
