Resources for Responding to ICE Activity in Vermont

It's vital that people know their rights and understand the rights of others when it comes to immigration enforcement and protest rights.

Know Your Rights

Act Now: Pass the Constitutional Accountability Act (H.849)

We all have the right to expect that when government officials violate our constitutional rights, there will be accountability and remedies for the harms they have caused. H.849 represents one of the most meaningful opportunities we have as a state to protect the people of Vermont from the types of lawless and unconstitutional actions we have seen in places like Minnesota, Chicago, Portland and Los Angeles—and now, in our own backyard.

Vermont lawmakers are expected to vote on this bill in the House soon. Take action today by sending a message to your elected officials urging them to pass this important legal protection.

Join us for an In-Person Know Your Rights Training this Spring

In the face of the federal government's ongoing efforts to divide and demoralize us, it's more vital than ever that we come together, meet our neighbors, understand our rights and how to assert them, and show up for our democracy.

We're hitting the road this spring to partner with organizations and Indivisible chapters across the state to deliver Know Your Rights trainings focused on interacting with immigration enforcement and protest rights. We hope you'll join us in a town near you.
