The Art Of Ben Stein: Show And Sale

Ben Stein of Burlington was an architect, outdoorsman, dancer, traveler, and artist -- and a long-time supporter of the ACLU, serving as a member of our board and legal panel. Ben died earlier this year. His family is honoring his memory through a sale of his paintings. Proceeds benefit the Ohavi Zedek Synagogue, the ACLU of Vermont, and the Green Mountain Club.
Gallery hours (at the Ohavi Zedek Synagogue, 188 N. Prospect St., Burlington) are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays and Sundays, starting Monday, Aug. 9. The show ends Sunday, Sept. 5.

Ben's art reflects his love of people, places, and nature. He sketched and painted on his travels around the world, and close to home in New England. His subjects included built environments, natural landscapes, and character studies. Images of his work can be viewed online.
